I'm redoing my review on this Taco Tico location . I went there yesterday and had a very pleasant experience. Everyone seemed in a good mood from customers to the employees. I ordered the Taco Burger combo and added sour cream on my Taco Burger with an additional Taco Burger made the same way and as always they are super delicious and addictive. The combo came with a crispy Taco which I smothered in mild sauce and a Bean Toastada smothered in shredded cheese with lettuce and tomatoes which was also equally delicious. The employee who took my order was friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. The only thing I wish this Taco Tico would address is their somewhat wobbly tables. I love that they have Coke Products,( my mom loves their Cherry Coke Option), and the service is amazing even when they're busy. The taste of their beef in the Tacos, Taco Burgers and other items can't be beat. You have to give this place a try when in Topeka, Ks. I hope to make it to a Taco Tuesday there soon.
Food was good but they ran out of Christos very fast and don't make anymore when they are busy
Wish the lobby was open. But 1st time trying this place as we don't have them in KC. I really liked it! It's what you hope it is fast food Mexican that taste great!
Well, I totally got skimped on my taco burger the other night when we ordered in the drive-thru - and have messed up my order somehow the last 3 times I have used the drive-thru to be honest - not to mention they are almost always out of crustos (mostly for the fact they are tasty and delicious and get ordered up too quick). But the food is always tasty since their recipes have never changed (at least for the past 40 years), prices are always fair and the staff are absolutely awesome!
Taco Tico was my favorite fast food Mexican place growing up. Most of them have disappeared over the years. There are a couple left in Topeka. The menu has changed a bit, but the food is still wonderful! They have the best enchilada sauce anywhere!
Went thru drive thru & got 16 tacos on 'Taco Tuesday' last week, & got excellent service thru drive thru. Got home & opened up our containers of tacos & those were the best da*n tacos I've ever gotten from there!! They didn't skimp on any of the ingredients like the one out north has (many times) in the past. So tasty! They did us right! Thank you!!
We stopped at Taco Tico during a trip. It was a wonderful bit of nostalgia. This location maintains the same exterior I remember. The drive through ordering was a little challenging due to high winds, but the staff was quite patient. The wait was short. The food tasted exactly as I remembered. Sancho and Cinnamon Crustos were perfectly prepared. My husband enjoyed the Taco Burgers. There are quite a few choices on the menu compared to the 70's. I would heartily recommend, especially for those Taco Tico cult followers like me.
Amazing food, one of my all time faves! The taco sauce is truly special!
